    Paperless? No Way!!

This post is part of Try It Tuesday, a blog carnival offering sponsored by http://iknowwhereyoucanfindit.blogspot.com/

In a world of laptops, PalmPilots, Blackberries, iPods, and cell phones, personal and business management has taken on a life of it's own. Each device embodies different characteristics, all of which may be utilized to organize your hectic life! I do own a laptop, a cell phone, and an iPod. The laptop, of course, is my main repository of information. It contains every single file that I would ever need regarding work and life. Freelance projects, resumes, pictures, address lists, ideas...you name it, I have it on there. My laptop even contains every song that I transfer onto my iPod. Thank goodness, though, for my cell phone. It's my own personal phone book. If I ever lose it, so will be lost the many phone numbers to friends, family, and even my husband. Yes, I admit I don't know his cell phone or work number without looking. Regardless of all this information technology, I have a confession—I still keep my calendar on a weekly/monthly planner that I bought from Target. For less than $10, I store everything from appointments to conference calls to lists of ideas. For less than $10, my life is organized. For less than $10, peace of mind is a simple entry away.

A friend of mine recently laughed at me for using a hardback thesaurus instead of the e-version on our work Mac. I told her I'm old school. I guess it's finally happening. I'm becoming less and less inclined to adhere to technology. That makes me a fogey...and proud of it!

LOL-I thought your Thesaurus and Dictionary were just for looks until you broke it out the other day!!

I use an online calendar that is accessible from any computer, and emails or alerts me when an event is coming up, which is invaluable to me. I will forget to look in a date book-but a pop up that tells me I have a meeting or doctor's appointment? Priceless.

I use every techie gimmick known to man and don't know anyone's phone number without looking at my cell phone. But I also have a paper planner I use all the time. And books. I use books often.

Thanks for participating in "Try It Tuesday" - don't forget to sign Mr. Linky!!
