    A Red November Morning

It's Friday, November 7. I had a hard time getting out of bed this morning. I felt like I was moving through a thick soup. Alas, I had to go to work so went through the regular mundane activities of fixing breakfast, taking a shower and getting dressed. I took the dogs out for one last spin around the yard and noticed what a red morning it was! Thought I'd share...

Take a look at the woods that surround our house. The colors were even better last weekend but you can still see a bit of greens, oranges, yellows, and lots of reds.

The view off the front porch. So many leaves to rake...or not.

I'm not sure what kind of bush this is just off our front porch but it takes on a rich lovely red hue in the fall.

The mums are still blooming thanks to the unseasonal warm weather we've had. I'm a little behind on deadheading them.

The sedum grew especially tall this year and have a mellow yellow appearance this month.

Just off our driveway you can often catch a glimpse of the sunrise.

As I passed Trapp Elementary and stopped before turning onto 89, I noted a rainbow. This was just after spotting a deer that I was too slow to catch on camera.

The drive to work is lined with fences, cows, and horses.

We call this little field "Turkey Burger Hill" because often we will spot a whole gaggle of turkey hanging out there.

As the sun rises, I head on to work.

    Robs and Kris,
Thank you for posting those beautiful colors. It makes a nice escape from my standard tan and sand view right now.

Well done. This article should be put forward to appear to the Kentucky Tourist Board as an advert for your beautiful state.
