SOLD! After 9 months of patience

October has been a great month for the Martins. You've read about Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 of our travels. And then there were the Halloween decorations at Firefly Farm complete with hay bale and rat hotel. Now we have an excellent reason to celebrate on All Hallows Eve, for today we close on our house in Lexington!

As you know, we put the little two bedroom house up for sale in February hoping that because it was one of the smallest houses in the neighborhood, it would stand a chance. Few, if any, prospects visited the place in the first six months. The next three months brought with it some parties but no offers. We had just started talking about Plan B should it not sell before our current contract expired. The day after our Plan B decision was made, I received a phone call with an offer.

What a way to end the year! Sometimes it's all about the timing.
